Say Hi
Say hi
to the Blossoms in spring
Say hi
to the Brambles
glistering in the morning sun
Say hi
to the Birchwood
standing lonely
in a prairy of concrete
Say hi
to the arid Hills
deprived of Water
struck barren by humans
Say hi
to the Dandelions
growing stubbornly
through cracks and mortar
Say hi
to the land
craddling our unforgiving monocropping
Say hi
to the Soil bouncing with Life
Say hi
to the Soil
trapped under tarred highways
All land is our beloved
Worthy of song
We can’t allow concrete
to deny life
Love, Awe, and Honour
Mother Earth does not need
Rewilding Managers
of carefully marked areas
She needs humans
living among
the complexity of all beings
without the sickening urge
to domesticate
control
and manage
Just lovingly
Say hi
to the morning blossoms

Really love this poem. Feels like a fresh breeze, reminding me how simple and beautiful it can be if we let go of hierarchy & control.
