I keep returning and returning. His worlds are so absolutely bizarre and at the same time I just accept them as reality. Have you read his latest book? The City and Its Uncertain Walls?

No! There is a new HM?? That is the best news ever! Do you also like Kim Stanley Robinson too? Somehow they both seem similar in their weirdness, books kind of without a plot that are somehow riveting.

Yes it's called The City and it's uncertain walls. I won't say anything further. Curious to hear your thoughts!

I tried to read The Ministry for the future but seriously couldn't get through. The storyline is amazing but the writing and rhythm weren't for me. Lately I am reading Gabriel García Márquez which also in many ways reminds me of Murakami's absurd realism.
